Rough SAWN STeppers
What are rough sawn steppers?
Rough sawn steppers are sandstone rocks which have been sawn using a rough wheel. This produces steps which are consistent in height and width, and have a rough sawn texture on all surfaces.
These steppers were installed in a before inaccessible sloped back-yard in Anstead, Brisbane.
Why choose rough sawn steps?
Rough sawn sandstone steps are a popular choice due to their balance between price and finish. Due to their consistent sizing, were able to achieve a uniform set of stairs
Due to their matching surface finish, these steps are best paired with a B or C Grade sandstone wall.
On this job at Stone Creek estate, Gold Coast our client requested a combination of C-grade sandstone retaining, rough sawn steppers and stepping stones to produce this magnificent entryway.
